Painting Collage: ICS Desk Calendar 2025

Now in its 16th Edition, the ICS International Painting Competition is a unique initiative dedicated to nurturing the artistic talents of students in their formative years. This competition provides students the opportunity to hone their skills and showcase their creativity on a global stage!

The paintings are to be created by the students in their school under the supervision of their teacher and sent to us in a digital format.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

  • Prestigious opportunity to showcase artistic talent.
  • The names of the students whose paintings are selected will appear alongside their artwork in the ICS Signature Desk Calendar 2026.
  • Winners will be selected through a fair and impartial process by a panel of judges comprising eminent personalities in the field of art and design.
  • The selected students will receive certificates of merit.
  • All participants will receive certificates of participation.
  • The selected entries will be posted on our social media handles.

RULES & REGULATIONS FOR PAINTING COMPETITION

  1. The painting must be relevant to the Theme of the Competition: History and Heritage.
  2. The painting must include an original slogan relevant to the Theme.
  3. The Artwork must be a new and original creation for this competition. Any copy of an artwork from the internet or any other sources will be disqualified.
  4. The artwork should not have been previously published or submitted to any other competitions.
  5. The painting is to be done in the presence of the art-teacher or a faculty member deputed by the Principal.
  6. The art-teacher/faculty member so deputed will be required to be present while the painting work is in progress. He/she will also be required to take “screen-shots” during the course of painting at regular intervals and of the final stage once the student has finished their artwork. These “screenshots” will be required by ICS as a proof of ‘originality’ for each submitted artwork.
  7. Proper lighting and framing should ensure that the image accurately represents the artwork. The artwork must not include any signatures, names of the student, school, or class.
  8. If the student wishes to include their name, it may be written in the top right corner of the sheet, outside the artwork area, as shown in the sample file. sample-image
  9. Both landscape and portrait orientations are accepted. Students are encouraged to use A4 or A3 size paper for better print quality and consistency in calendar layout.
  10. Suggested mediums for paintings include, but are not limited to, oil, acrylic, water colour, ink wash, gouache, and any other liquid substance.
  11. The entries must be submitted in digital format only as scanned copies of the original art work.
  12. The original artwork is to be scanned. Image size should not be over 3 MB.
  13. The scanned images are to be saved in jpeg format only.
  14. Format for saving file Name: Example- ModernSchoolPune_PriyaSingh_Class8
  15. Artwork must be submitted as a high-resolution image (JPG, PNG, or PDF).
  16. A school may send up to a maximum of 5 best entries.
  17. All the entries must be submitted on or before the last date, October 31, 2025. Entries received after the last date will not be entertained.
  18. The students whose paintings are submitted by the school and selected will be recognised as follows:
  • Top 24 Paintings:
    • Featured on the monthly pages of the ICS Signature Desk Calendar 2026.
    • The student’s name and school name will be printed alongside their artwork.
    • The selected artwork will also be posted on ICS social media pages during the month it appears in the calendar.
    • The student will receive a Certificate of Excellence.
  • Special Mention Paintings:
    • Displayed across 8 dedicated pages in the calendar.
    • Each page will include 6 to 8 paintings, depending on their orientation (portrait or landscape).
    • The student will receive a Certificate of Commendation.
  • All Other Participants:
    • Will be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation.
