ABOUT THE COMPETITION:
Painting Collage: ICS Desk Calendar 2023
The ICS International Painting Competition is a unique initiative to encourage budding artists in the formative years of their academic life by honing and nurturing their innate talent. In our experience, students’ inherent artistic potential gets a tremendous boost when they get the opportunity to display their creativity before a global audience.
The paintings are to be created by the students in their location under the supervision of their teacher and sent to us in digital format.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
- Prestigious opportunity to showcase aesthetic talent.
- The names of the students who’s paintings are selected will appear alongside their artwork on the ICS Signature Desk Calendar 2024.
- Winners will be selected through a fair and impartial process by a panel of judges comprising eminent personalities with well-rounded knowledge in the field of art and design.
- Winners will receive certificates of merit.
- All participants will receive certificates of participation.
- The winning entries will be posted on our social media handles.
RULES & REGULATIONS FOR ONLINE PAINTING COMPETITION:
- The painting must be relevant to the Theme of the Competition
- The painting is to be done in the presence of the art-teacher or a faculty member deputed by the Principal.
- The art-teacher/faculty member so deputed will be required to be present while the painting work is in progress. He/she will also be required to take “screen-shots” during the course of painting at regular intervals and of the final stage once the student has finished his artwork. These ‘screen-shots’ will be required by ICS as a proof of ‘originality’ for each submitted art work.
- The painting must be an unassisted and original work of the student done on a chart paper.
- Any copy of an artwork from the internet or any other sources will be disqualified.
- The artwork should not have been used before in any other competition.
- The artwork should not carry any signatures, name of the student, school or class.
- The entries must be submitted in digital format only as scanned copies of the original art work.
- The original artwork is to be scanned. Image size should not be over 3 MB.
- The scanned images are to be saved in jpeg format only.
- Format for saving file Name: Example- ModernSchoolPune_PriyaSingh_Class8
- A school may send up to a maximum of 5 best entries.
- Suggested mediums for paintings include, but are not limited to, oil, acrylic, water colour, ink wash, gouache, and any other liquid substance.
- All the entries must be submitted on or before the last date September 30, 2023.
- Entries received after the last date will not be entertained.
- No entry fee will be charged.
- The students whose paintings are selected and submitted by a school will be recognised with the following:
- The names of the winning students along with their class and school will appear alongside their artwork on the calendar.
- The winning students will receive certificates of merit.
- All students whose paintings are sent will receive certificates of participation.
